The colour of your metal lantern frame makes a terrific difference to the look of the design. So think carefully about what would suit the location and colours of your lantern.....
And I like to mark the seasons by changing the glass panels from one lantern to another! My lanterns are black in Autumn and Winter - and change to shabby chic cream in Spring and Summer!
